Ek dink nie hulle wou hom soseer koop nie, maar met die nuwe kontrakterings model is dit finansieel baie beter vir n unie om n springbok te kontrakteer, aangesien SARU verantwoordelik is vir sy salaris, en nie die unie nie. Die unie sal dan net sy salaris hoef op te top in die vorm van bonusse ens.

Die Springbokslot Marvin Orie is die Leeus se lynstaangeneraal wanneer hulle Saterdag op Nuweland in die Curriebekerreeks teen die Westelike Provinsie uitdraf.

Orie is deur die Springbokindoenas vrygestel om vir die Leeus uit te draf en hy het boonop ‘n nuwe slotmaat.

Die oud Arend, Ruben Schoeman, is die yskas in die Leeu-agttal wat die vuur moet stook en Wilhelm van der Sluys is op die bank.

Die atletiese Hacjivah Dayimani is ook terug om agtsteman met Vincent Tshituka en Marnus Schoeman die flankpaar. James Venter kan homself ongelukkig ag om nie te begin nie.

Sti Sithole begin op loskop met Pieter Jansen op haker terwyl Johannes Jonker se plek op vaskop behou. Die insluiting van Leo Kruger op die bank is ‘n opwindende een.
