Rondte 3 - Cheetahs vs Leeus

Rasta had a bit of a shocker in my opinion. didn't warn the Cheetahs at all for their insane penalty count, which was about 14 after 60 minutes, yet after our 5 penalty, he had the audacity to warn us.

I also felt that their 1st try was scored, for the ironic reason that we decimated their attack with our brilliant defence by tackling them so far behind the gain-line, which in turn created some gaps due to the chaos.

I think we lost some focus at the end and for a change our replacements cost us some momentum and the retreating scrum also didn't help (thx Dreyer). Jannie on the other hand was a monster and it was hard to believe that he is close to 40 by how he kept up with play.

Then I also want to say, Jaco Kriel is finally looking a bit like the Jaco Kriel of old. And will someone please give Vincent Tshituka a Bok Jersey?!

Ek is regtig weer bietjie opgewonde oor ons span. Ons jong spelers begin shape en die ou ballies bring hulle kant.

Tshitsuka het my redelik beindruk in die wedstryd.

We have been on the receiving end of pressure the whole year, so it's nice to see us dishing it out a bit. If we can keep this kind of pressure on, there is no reason we can't win the CC. Concentration and commitment.

Refs are absolutely horrible this year. The rules at the ruck and off-side lines change throughout the game. Can't we get that lady to do all he games, because she was by far the best.

Een swak scrum/strafskop kan die uitkoms van 'n wedstryd bepaal. Ongelukkig het Dreyer nou daai "stigma" geheg aan hom en as 'n skeidsregter enige twyfel het is dit maklik om maar net vir Dreyer te penaliseer. As ons 'n tekort aan stutte gehad het was dit 'n ander storie, maar Jannie, Carlu en Wiehan verdien almal 'n kans om die beginspan te haal.

Kyk, ek dink vandat spanne 23 spelers kan kies (2 stutte op die bank) is dit nie meer belangrik dat 'n stut albei kante kan skrum nie, behalwe in toernooie dalk soos 'n WB, waar mens net 'n beperkte aantal spelers kan kies vir die 7 wedstryde, so ek sien dit nie regtig as 'n bonus nie.

Ek dink ook net as ek een van die ander stutte was en agter agter 'n ou moes speel wat nie sy primere werk goed doen nie en ek in my paar kanse baie goed doen, sou ek redelik ongelukkig wees.
