Sien uit na die een, veral na die Cheetahs se gemoan omdat ons eerder as hulle in die Pro16 gaan deelneem.... Hoop net nie ons maak ons naam bollie nie...

Soos al ons games nou is hierdie 'n MOET wen.

Gaan beslis nie maklik wees nie, maar as ons WP kon klok kan ons die Vrystaat ook klop.

Wonder hoe weeg die twee spanne vergelyke met verlede jaar. Ons het maar power vertoon teen hulle in laas jaar se finaal. Ook goed dat Ruaan Pienaar nie speel nie.

In laas jaar se finaal het hulle ons oordonder in die begin, maar toe het ons baie goed terg geveg en op die einde met net 3 punte verloor (28-31). Ek vermoed hulle span is redelik verswak in vergelyking met daardie een wat in die finaal gespeel het

Ek voel nogal redelik positief op die oomblik. 

Teen Griekwas en die WP het ons so biedtjie geroes gelyk wat mens kan verwag as jy net 1 game in 5 weke speel.
Die eerste games teen WP, Sharks en selfs die Bulle kon ons net sowel gewen het.
As dit nie vir Covid en weerlig was nie kon ons maklik nog 5 punte meer op die log gehad het en dus 2de op die log gelê het.

Wen die naweek en ons is besig om momentum te bou
Ons rekord teen die Sharks op Ellispark en die Bulle op Loftus is n goeie rekord.
Vawee ons breek agv Covid en die Bye glo ek ons span is die varste van die lot (wat gaan begin tel na die einde) 

Maar nou ja soos hulle sê as is verbrande hout en die game word tussen die 4 lyne gewen en een ding wat ek nou al van ons mooi game rugby geleer het is dat ons almal reken ons is kenners om net more uit te vind ons weet eintlik niks.

Bulle moet net op pas Naas het mos altyd gesê die beker word nie in Junie gewen nie ... maar blykbaar nou al in JanuarieSmile

So van hulle hele pak voorspelers is net een speler nog daar, en agterlangs 3, so net 4 spelers van die finaal sal vir hulle speel as ek dit nie mis het nie

So net 3 spelers begin in dieselfde posisie as in die finaal, en 4 spelers wat in die finaal gespeel het, is weer in die begin XV...was ek reg of was ek reg?

Kriel in for injured Odendaal

 

Three changes have been made to the Xerox Lions starting line-up for the Carling Currie Cup match against the Toyota Cheetahs in Bloemfontein this weekend.

 

Jannie du Plessis, Dan Kriel and André Warner all get the nod.

 

Kriel replaces an injured Burger Odendaal, who is struggling with a strained right calf while the other changes are based on rotation.

 

Four players from the starting line-up were in action against the Cheetahs in the Currie Cup final in Bloemfontein last year. They are Dylan Smith, Marvin Orie, Wandisile Simelane and Stean Pienaar. Jan-Henning Campher, Wilhelm van der Sluys and Len Massyn were on the bench on that day.

 

Manuel Rass moves onto the bench for this encounter.

 

The Xerox Lions travel to Bloemfontein on Thursday afternoon and will have their captains run in the city of roses on Friday.

 

Kick-off in Bloemfontein is at 16:30.

Met alle respek- hoekom begin Jannie? Ag nee man. As jy wil rotate, begin dan vir Herbst. Nie iemand wie maande laas gespeel het nie.

At the very least hou dan vir Herbst op die bank om op te maak dat hy nie begin nie en hom nog vars te hou, maar nou kom Dreyer in op die bank, terwyl hy redelik baie gespeel het die seisoen dusver.

Ons lyk redelik in beheer van die game. Ons sal net moet begin beter afrond. Dan Kriel het n monster tackle op Mnisi ingesit. Jannie lyk tot dusver nie sleg in die skrums nie. Warner vat baie lank om skoon te maak.
