So as ek die lees verstaan ek dat geen span afgaan na die B liga toe nie net 1 span van B liga gaan promosie kry om die Curriebeker n 8 span liga maak

Dink die Leeus het die afgelope paar jaar dieselfde fout gemaak het is die Bulle 'n dekade terug (onder Xander Janse van Rensburg). Spandeer miljoene op hordes juniors van die Kaap en KZN, en verwaarloos die senior spanne. Daar is 'n reuse verskil tussen junior/varsity cup rugby en CC (net soos daar 'n reuse verskil is tussen CC en internasionale club rugby). n Beter strategie sou gewees het om 'n handvol baie belowende jonges te oogmerk en hule geleidelik in senior spanne in te lei.

The council did, however, approve a motion that the top South African team in the First Division be automatically promoted to the Premier Division at the end of the 2022 Currie Cup season, creating an eight-team Premier Division the following season.

SA Rugby added that the promoted team would be entrenched for two seasons (until the end of the 2024 Currie Cup season) when the bottom team in the Premier Division will be automatically relegated in favour of the top South African team in the First Division, which will also be entrenched for two seasons before promotion/relegation at the end of the 2026 season.

Ek praat nie net van die wat gespeel het nie. Daar is heelwat van die o/20's van laasjaar wat nie in die 2 games gespeel het nie. Ek dink aan die o/ 20 haker (du Toit is sy van), Izan Esterhuizen, Sasko Ndlovo, die 2 slotte, Claasens wat op 10 goed was, maar net in 1 game nou op 9 moes speel, en dan die spelers op die bank, wat lus gelyk het vir speel, soos Ruan Venter, Nico Steyn, MJ Pelser, ens.
Dit lyk amper of die afrigters half aspris meestal ouens gekies het wat nie laasjaar die o/20 span kon haal nie, tesame met n paar ouer spelers wat nog in elk geval nog glad nie oortuig het nie, (soos Manny Ras, Morne Brandon, ens.)

Transvaal,indien jy Saterdag by die wedstryd gaan wees, as media beampte, en jy kry n geleentheid, vra to bietjie of die unie bewus is hiervan, en wat hulle plan is om te verseker dat ons nie gerelegeer word nie, want dit kan maak dat ons nog die meerderheid van ons belowende juniors ook kan verloor.

Ek was nog altyd ten gunste van promosie/ relegasie. Dit werk letterlik in elke sportsoort op aarde.

Dis uiterse swak bestuur van SARU wat maak dat hul elke jaar die formaat verander. Dis ook duidelik dat hul nie minder kon omgee oor die CC nie.

Ek dink die outjies is bietjie in die diepkant, dit is nou van die coaching tot die spelers, wat miskien later sal vrugte werp.. ek weet net nie of dit in n donker gat gaan eindig nie, maar hierdie week was baie swakker as laas week.

Dit is duidelik dat dit nie vir die unie saak maak of ons al die Curriebeker wedstryde verloor nie … hulle fight so hard om kop bo water te hou met URC dat ek dink nie hulle dink verder as dit nie. 

Die unie moes teen die WP n sterkerige URC span gekies het om te speel en moes gister n kombinasie van fringe URC spelers en o/20 spelers gekies het

Jake White het  duidelik n kort en langtermyn plan … hy behandel beide kompitisies as belangrik

Ek dink eerlikwaar ons moes soos die ander groot unies gemaak het en n paar spelers met ondervinding in sleutel posisies gesit het om van die jong manne te gehelp het en so kon van die manne wedstryd fiks gebly het ek dink die bulls en so is ons bietjie voor nou met die dat hulle van hulle groot spelers gebruik tot die ander kompetisie weer aangaan

The Lions team is an absolute disgrace! An embarrassment to the union!

The excuse of "its our u/20 team" just doesn't hold water for me, look at what the Pumas and the Griquas accomplish with a bunch of "no name brands"
