Agreed

A draw would probably be the best possible result for us and the Bulls

The Emirates Lions made four changes for the all-important Vodacom Super Rugby clash with the Vodacom Bulls at Loftus on Saturday.

In their last match of the regular season Elton Jantjies comes in at centre, Hacjivah Dayimani starts at eight in the place of the injured Kwagga Smith, Rhyno Herbst returns to action to resume his lock partnership with Marvin Orie while Tyrone Green gets the nod at wing.

Reinhard Nothnagel and Courtnall Skosan drop to the bench, Dillon Smit is drafted into the match 23, as is Wandisile Simelane.

The Emirates Lions ended off their week of preparation with a Fan Fest signing session at Emirates Airline Park on Friday afternoon.

Kick-off is at 17:15.

Emirates Lions vs Vodacom Bulls: Andries Coetzee; Tyrone Green, Lionel Mapoe, Elton Jantjies, Aphiwe Dyantyi; Shaun Reynolds, Ross Cronje; Hacjivah Dayimani, Vincent Tshituka, Cyle Brink, Marvin Orie, Rhyno Herbst, Carlu Sadie, Malcolm Marx ©, Dylan Smith. Reserves: Jan-Henning Campher, Nathan McBeth, Johannes Jonker, Reinhard Nothnagel, Marnus Schoeman, Dillon Smit, Wandisele Simelane, Courtnall Skosan

Nope

We can lose and still be 8th, but there are a few things that must still go our way.

Luckily we are the last team to play.

haha, there are never any guarantees.

But there is mathematical probability , if the probability is higher taking one route vs another then thats the route I would take.

I don't see it as an ethical thing at all, you make your own luck....

We must aim for 6th or 7th and all of a sudden we are in with a realistic shot. I back us to beat the Jags or brumbies in Quarter and semi finals.

If we have a "Choice" and results go our way, then I would do whatever it takes to be 6th or 7th

Sorry but I don't agree. It goes against my morals to throw a game just to have an easier route to the final. And there is no guarantee that we will beat either the Brumbies or the Jags. And even if we do, the semi and finals will then most probably be in NZ.

We have been mediocre this season, just making it to the knockout rounds will be good enough for me.

If WW is ready I would change my loosies from
6. Venter
7. Tshituka
8. Brink

to

6. Brink
7. Tshituka
8. WW

And give Venter a run from the bench

Maybe we have some more injury concerns.. Maybe we are playing mind games? Maybe we are sending them the points?

I hope that they have a big announcement later.. perhaps more signings?

Maybe WW is ready to play!
