Hierdie is 'n groot wedstryd vir ons en daarom sal ek Marx speel. Ons het reeds twee wedstryde teen SA spanne verloor. Met die konferensie-stelsel  saam is wedstryde teen SA spanne ekstra belangrik. Ons MOET hierdie een deurtrek en om dit te doen gaan ons 'n sterk, fisieke agttal benodig (baie belangrik, veral teen die sharks wat 'n ander span is wanneer hulle fisiek domineer).

My los-trio teen die sharks (met al ons beserings) sal wees: Schoeman 6, Brink 7, Vermaak 8.

Dit is nie 'n slegte kombinasie daai nie. As Daymani op die bank is kan hy dalk later opkom wanneer die sharks se swaar pak moeg raak? Ek wonder net of Brink self n volle 80 minute gaan maak?

Siende dat hul met 'n onervare haker gaan moet speel moet ons baie druk op hul lynstane en scrums probeer plaas. Hul mag dalk ook met Bosch op losskakel begin, en as dit die geval is moet ons hom bietjie teiken

Die Leeus het geen gras onder hul voete laat groei met die insluiting van die ysterflank Cyle Brink vir Vrydagaand se Sharks-stryd op Emirates Airlinepark nie.

Dit is Brink se eerste wedstryd van die seisoen en sy 36e in SuperRugby. Dit is ook sy 80e in eerstrangse rugby.

Ruan Vermaak is ook weer op agtesteman met die rubberbal Marnus Schoeman die derde lid van ‘n uiters gedugte lostrio.

Die staatmaker Andries Coetzee is ook weer terug op heelagter maar Tyrone Green behou minstens sy plek, die keer op regtervleuel.

Daar is ook ‘n insiggewende verandering aan die middelveld waar die Springbokvleuel Aphiwe Dyantyi as Lionel Mapoe se sentermaat gekies is.

Mapoe, wie nuwe lewe as ‘n binnesenter kry, speel teen die Sharks in sy 99e wedstryd vir die Leeus in SuperRugby.

Die ander veranderinge is almal op die bank.

Eerstens is Nathan McBeth en Jan-Henning Campher albei terug in die skrumkrag te versterk en is die Bok Stephan Lewies en Wilhelm van der Sluys albei tussen die reserwes.

Daarmee het die Leeus ‘n volledige Vaste 5 wat kan impak maak.

Die X-faktor, Hacjivah Dayimani is ook as impakspeleer gekies terwyl daar ‘n besluit tussen Sylvian Mahuza en Wandisile Simelane gemaak moet word.

I dont agree with playing Dyanti at 13, Simeline had been a breath of fresh air. Unless Swys thinks Dyanti will stand up to test of the sharks big centers better than Simeline will.

Dyanti is great on cover and scrambling tackles. I have seen him make some really good and potentially try saving tackles. So the man can tackle. Where he possibly does fall short is reading what his opponent is going to do. However, in the center, he has a bit more of a luxury of closer space to work with than on wing. But he will have to make his first time tackles.

Een ding wat my pla van Swys is die "rotasie" van sommige spelers. Waarom Robbie Coetzee nie daar is om as backup te dien vir Marx verstaan ek nie. Dan iemand soos Simelani het blerrie goed gedoen tot dusver op 13, waarom word hy nou gedrop en iemand weer uit posisie gespeel (al het Diyanti varsity cup 13 gespeel, hy word tans as n vleuel gesien). Green het uitstekend gedoen op heelagter, nou word hy weer vleuel toe geskuif en iemand soos Combrinck maak gladnie eers die span nie. Ditto Lombard wat goed gedoen het tot dusver.. 

En op die bank het ons net 2 agterlyn spelers, of word Daymani nou gesien as 'n vleuel??
