Daar is baie talent in SA.

SA being booted from SR is not a done deal yet. If NZ want to go it alone, it will cripple them financially because of the broadcast deal in place. Australia cannot afford to lose SA in SR either, because they are virtually bankrupt because of Folau. Financially SA holds the cards because of the broadcast deals.
I think that eventually we will move north, whether its an expanded Pro 14, with a route into the Champions Cup, or an Anglo Welsh league for teams like the Cheetahs, Kings, Griquas and Pumas, or even the English Premiership or French Top 14, we must look north.

Better travel, bigger broadcast deals, and the rugby is pretty tough. Maybe not as fast as the SR, but still very technical, and tactical because of the weather. However, playing in SA will provide opportunities for running rugby.

As some reports have mentioned, this may pave the way for tours from the likes of NZ and Aus. I for one would prefer a 3 match test tour with midweek games compared to the Rugby Championship.

I do feel for the Argies, because they will be the worst hit of all countries.

Superugby in its current format isn’t working anyway.

- The time zones are an issue.
- Heavy travel schedules
- SA teams disadvantaged due to the direction of travel for away fixtures and the jet lag there of.
- Conference system is a joke.
- The comp is way too long and people lose interest.

I wouldn’t mind playing with the French , weather better than the UK, they have a very strong league with world class players.

I understand that NZ wants to keep the rugby championship, but ditch us from SR.

Could be “best of both” , but then we need a very well thought trough international calendar
