Hope Rasta has a good 80 minutes. He often blows well for about 60 minutes, but has a 20 minute period when he loses the plot. But generally happy with his officiating.

I agree. He should have been much better, seeing as he did play first class rugby before being a ref.

It could be a tightly contested game, either side can win. I am hoping that altitude and home ground advantage will give us the edge.

They tend to struggle a little without Ben Smith , Naholo will boost them, but it will take a while for him to get form back as well.

The lions have been VERY AVERAGE this year, YET , we are probably 1 or 2 wins away from topping the SA conference. I see that as a huge positive, we've been poor , but winning.

We can always get better and improve, where the Sharks and Bulls don't have much more to their game. The Jagaures will be our biggest competition for the conference.

We have 2 major issues in our game (And both are actually easily fixable) :

1. We cant exit our 22, thats why we concede every time we score. That's probably costing us 14 points a game. Fix that and the whole dynamic of the game changes, teams start panicking , taking chances ect.

2. Defensive line speed, We wait for the opposition to attack , we concede tries from just outside our 22, but generally defend well on our own line. Thats because , on our line, we defend the pick and drive well, or we rush up quicker to close the space. It works for us, but somehow when we get back to general play, we are slow of the mark and allow the opposition to make easy meters and give them time to make better attacking decisions.

Our attack has been a little stale, however I don't believe its the issue of how we attack, but rather the circumstances . When we fix the defense and exit, we will have more time on the ball, and we will break teams down. We really mis Mostert , but it is what it is, we need to huge, Kwagga, Marx and Brink to get us over the advantage line.

After Saturday's post match conference I had a quick private chat to Swys where I told him I think our current biggest problem is our poor exits from the 22. It didn't look like he agreed, it sounds like the thinking is that attacking from our 22 is the current thinking.

So Swys wil he die ouens moet vanaf ons 22 aanval?

Stem saam jou. Te dikwels verloor ons die bal in kontak of so iets, en dan is ons dadelik onder druk naby ons doellyn. As daar 'n 5 man teen 1 overlap is dan by all means hardloop die bal, maar nie elke flippen keer nie.
