Wales centre Jamie Roberts could play for the Stormers in this year’s Super Rugby tournament. According to Rapport newspaper, a third party has helped to make the deal possible after WP Rugby’s financial situation meant it couldn’t pay for Roberts’ housing and transport costs. The newspaper claimed the only thing that could derail the 33-year-old’s move to Cape Town is if his English club Bath began to underperform and changed its mind about letting him leave. Roberts earned 97 Test caps from 2008 to 2017, including 94 for Wales and three for the British & Irish Lions. |
