WP fail to score needed four tries against Lions
The match was no spectacle, except perhaps
for the Lions and WP supporters, and WP lead 7-0 at the break after Luke Watson
scored after the hooter when we were a man down after Doppies la Grange
got a yellow for hands in a ruck. Rose then slotted a
penalty to make it 7-3, and then, with the Lions on the
attack, Jean de Villiers intercepted a pass from Louis
Strydom to Jaque Fourie and ran the length of the field
to score and make it 14-3. About 6 minutes from full
time Rose kicked another penalty to make the final score
14-6.
