Elton Jantjies made a full recovery after his injury scare last week when he sustained a grade 1 calf injury during training. He will captain the Emirates Lions against the Tafel Lager Griquas on Friday evening (19:00) at Emirates Airline Park in the first home-game for the Johannesburg based side in Vodacom Super Rugby Unlocked.
The starting line-up sees Gianni Lombard in the number 15 jersey while Stean Pienaar and Courtnall Skosan will patrol the side-lines at wing, Wandisile Simelane will join forces with Dan Kriel at centre and MJ Pelser gets the nod as flank forward.
On the bench the following players are set to get a run for the first time in 258 days since the previous match on home-soil: PJ Botha, Ruan Dreyer, Jannie du Plessis, Reinhard Nothnagel, Jaco Kriel, Ross Cronjé, Burger Odendaal and Tiaan Swanepoel.
· The day will kick off with the all-important SA Rugby Under 21 Championship final which will see the Xerox Lions Under 21’s, under the coaching of Mzwakhe Nkosi, Wessel Roux and Wynand Ellis, take on the reigning champions, the Vodacom Blue Bulls Under 21 team at 14:00.

Goeie span baie bly oor Elton wat terug is. Ook bly om Jaco en Burger terug op die bench te sien. Bly ook dat jong spelers soos Stean, Wandisile en MJ Pelser kanse kry ------------- Lions4life |

| MJ Pelser lyk nie net soos 'n goeie oopkantflank nie, maar is ook 'n baie balvaardige skakel tussen voor en agterspelers. Met die insluiting van Odendaal en EW Viljoen, behoort hierdie agterlyn baie naby aan die beste een te wees wat ons kan inspan. |

| Lyk baie soos die makliker wedstryde in verlede jaar se Curry beker. In die eerste helfde was die voorspelers puik, terwyl Griekwas nie hulle paar geleendhede kon benut nie. Tweede helfde was 'n ander storie. Hulle heelagter en no9 het ons heel paar kere ontkant betrap. Sal volgende week kan sien hoe goed die span werklik is. |

Griekwas is ook die swakste span in die kompetisie, so mens wil jou nie regtig teen hulle meet nie VODACOM SUPER RUGBY UNLOCKED 2020 TABLE

Simelane had a great game, but we need to remember that he had to do very little defensive work because we were on attack most of the game. Marnus looked very good when he came on, the must surely be a place for him in the team... Somewhere, somehow

| Like I said earlier, not a good idea to measure ourselves against the bottom of the log team. We conceded 31 points against them, which doesn't make me very happy |

We lost focus when the game was no longer a contest. I am not that concerned. Our defense line is an issue , Simelane at 13 should be the general of defense but he never looks comfortable without the ball to me

Just glad we got a win under the belt. Looking at Griquas results up to the Lions game, they either ran out of steam, or the Lions stepped up a gear or or 3. On the highlights, of the 4 Griquas tries, one was an intercept from some great anticipation and positional play by their 15. If the cross kick had found our player, we would have scored. Only 1 try by the Griquas was due to sloppy defending. Our tries were well worked, and it seemed if our maul is finally starting to get some wheels. |

Just bad trying to get live streaming, because it seems as if Supersport has blocked VPN's, so I struggle to find decent streams, so will have to pay £9.99 for day pass on Sky's Now TV, or £39 pm to get all their sport. And will have to pay similar to get BT Sport. As much as we don't always like Supersport, South Africans that can afford DSTV are really spoilt for choice. Lions 4 Life

| yes, use a pop up blocker. small price to pay for watching everything for free, and if you maximize the stuff that you are watching when you have it loaded, you won't see any pop-ups |

Dit is n browser add-on of extension. Ek gebruik dit hoofsaaklik in Firefox op my rekenaar en foon, maar ek glo dit is ook compatible met Chrome, ens. Jy installeer dit deur dit te search met die browser waar jy dit wil gebruik en dan volg jy net die basic instruksies (add to Firefox/Chrome knoppie) op die site. Dit werk net in die browser en dan op Youtube in die browser en nie die Youtube app self nie wil ek ook net noem vir ingeval ek nie mooi verduidelik het nie. ------------- Go LIONS!!!!! |
