Ek voel 'n konserwatiewe, skop-vir-die-hoeke, spelpatroon is ons beste kans om kompeterend te wees. En dan kan ons spelers net nie pass as ons op die aanval is in die kwartgebied nie, al is daar 'n moerse overlap. Dit moet ook beslis verander.

Die slot WJ Steenkamp het vir my redelik goed gespeel die laaste 2 Curiebeker wedstryde … ek is verbaas om nie hom in die groep te sien nie … met die swaar velde oorsee sou ek hom en Reuben Schoeman op vlank ook oorweeg.

Moes Swanepoel nie nou al gereed gewees het nie?

Ek het so biedtjie na Zebre se resultate en groep gekyk … meestal onbekende name … hulle het in die Rainbow cup n paar groot tellings teen hulle gekry en nie een game gewen nie …. Dit lyk vir my omtrent die beste kans wat ons het om n game te wen …. Op die oomblik so 50% kans om te reen met n max van 23

Soos ek verstaan is Loubcher die nuwe agterlyn afrigter. Het persoonlik nie 'n probleem met sy aanstelling nie.

Rumors' have it that the backline coach was given the boot, while the defensive coach for the past 3 years, Sean Erasmus has been redeployed in a new role in the coaching setup as breakdown coach. If true, it would be a little strange than Erasmus,(who has coached at school level at KZN and Western Cape) as well as many of youngsters from the Western Cape & KZN who came up north with him, are all still part of a mediocre setup, while other youngsters, some of which were junior Boks, get pushed aside or ignored.

Fully agreed about Pelser. He was voted by all the players in SA as the best young and up and coming player during the SA Rainbow Cup and now he is suddenly not there. Does not make sense to me. Make me furious that they leave a talented player like that out of the squad!!!! Especially that most of the loose forwards that were selected ahead of him is definitely not better than him!

Alberts and Smit are injured as far as I know.

Alberts and Roelof Smit also missing from the squad. Smit isn't a loss because he only plays 15min in a season, but Alberts added a lot of grunt and physicality to our pack.

Also can't understand why Pelser is not there, he is a better option than Kriel at this stage

I'm not too convinced hey.. He had his chance at the lions. Took a champion team, made one more final (albeit not as convincingly) and from there the slide began. Maybe as a consultant in the background?

Ek sien uit na die kompetisie, maar ek verwag nie veel van die leeus nie. Ek hoop maar stilletjies hul kan ons verras en darem nie heel laaste eindig nie. Ek sal tevrede wees met so mid-log
