The problem is that we have MANY talented okes in the loosies.

Kriel and WW were both injured last year, so we cant really compare them to Siya.

There are aspects of our captain that really agitates me, however people look for purpose. If you have a purpose , it drives you. Having Siya as the captain , wearing the number 6 jersey and lifting the trophy was a huge motivational driver.

We have a lot of black talent in this country at springbok level we can compete and represent. That is a huge positive. I didnt like the BLM speech Siya gave,  before that I didnt have an issue with the guy, now I feel different.

Siya and Jaco Kriel started their senior careers at more or less the same time, yet Siya has managed to play for the Boks more than 50 times compared to Jaco's 11 tests... a Player of Jaco's ability and judging on his performance since 2010, should have played more than 50 tests already.
Problem is that there was a fair player of color that was selected ahead of a great white player, just to make up the numbers...
Same with Oupa Mohoje, Rudi Paige, etc etc...
I know they play different positions, but it says alot that both Mohoje and Paige played more tests than Kriel.
Sure we have great players of color, but Kolisi is not one of them. Is he a great leader? I don't know, but it doesn't seem to look like it considering the fact that he was replaced in all of the World Cup games... How much is your captain really worth if you replace him with 20 minutes to go, in a world cup final with the scores at 18 - 12? Or with the scored dead even in a Semi Final of a world cup with 10 to go?
Sure McCaw was replaced in the 80th minute of the 2015 final, but NZ already had the game in the bag by then. But generally replacing your "inspirational" captain who is a "great" player in a tight (at that stage) World Cup final truly says alot...

Ek stem 100% saam.

Well said Niela. I feel exactly the same. His BLM "speech" was a disgrace and made me not want to support the Boks anymore at all. Will still support the Lions for the time being though, although I havent even watched any of the matched over the past 2 weeks.

Ag shame man.

Not perceived racism, especially where there is none.

Well said.
Go LIONS!!!!!
