our defense all around was poor, twice Combrink was left to defend 3 Brumbies which resulted in 2 tries. There seems to be very little structure to the defensive line and not much commitment with 1-1 tackles (hense the close to 40 missed tackles). Is our current defensive coach the right man for the job?

Lombard looked very good when he came on, he really gave to backline some impetus. I think Elton probably had his best performance of the season playing at #12, but his defense will be a major issue with that kind of move.

Red_Machine...apologies, the stats you quoted on saturday regarding defence was right. The “app” (Rugby Stats)  I used reflected a 93% tackle success rate and us only missing 11 tackles...and to be honest I was frustrated by other comments doing the rounds on social media after the game. Anyway...sorry bud.

no problem at all, we were all understandably irritated after the game

It has been a very long time since I didnt look forward to Lions games and stopped watching and that is what is starting to happen. It is really hard to sit though a Lions game this year, even those we ended up winning, wasnt very nice to watch and was mostly nerve wracking.
Go LIONS!!!!!
