Hierdie is ons laaste wedstryd op Ellispark tot die URC weer begin in Oktober. Behalwe as ons kwalifiseer vir tuis Curriebeker uitspeel wat maar dodgy lyk op die stadium

Daar is 4 rondtes oor en ons is 11 punte agter die Pumas wat in die 2de plek is, maar Cheetahs en Pumas wat 1 en 2 is het die naweek verloor. Bulle sal seker ook met 'n vol URC span speel in die laaste 4 rondtes terwyl die Stormers nog 2 weke in URC is en Sharks het reeds gese hulle Bokke sal nie Curriebeker speel nie

The Vodacom Bulls head to the Emirates Airline Park for a derby bigger than bragging rights in round 11 of the 2023 Currie Cup campaign. The Tshwane-based outfit will cross the Jukskei in search of a crucial victory over noisy neighbours, the Fidelity ADT Lions on Saturday 20, May.

Kick-off in Johannesburg is set for 15h00pm.

Johan Goosen is the only change to the team that travelled to Kimberly, coming into the starting xv with Chris Smith moving to the impact squad. Goosen links up with Embrose Papier (scrumhalf) as the halfback combination on the day.

Gerhard Steenekamp (loosehead), Johan Grobbelaar (hooker) and Mornay Smith (tighthead) are in the front row, as Ruan Nortje and Ruan Vermaak combine at lock. Marcell Coetzee (blindside) starts alongside Nizaam Carr (openside) with Elrigh Louw at eight, completing the forwards pack.

The backline remains unchanged, with the services of Marco Jansen van Vuren (left) and Sibongile Novuka (right) retained at wing, whilst Harold Vorster and Stedman Gans line up at centre, with David Kriel at fullback.

Jan-Hendrik Wessels, Simphiwe Matanzima, Francois Klopper, Charlie Ewels, Cyle Brink, Keagan Johannes, Chris Smith and Cornal Hendricks form part of the impact squad.

In a close game I don't understand why you take off your only recognized goal kicker?? That was a massive brain fart by the coaching staff (unless Nohamba was injured).

Also, Barret-Thwron showed once again that she has no business officiating at this level. Very, very poor performance by her.

Positive aspect of the game was that we took our chances. Negative was that we created only two chances for ourselves. Two of our treis and a string of of penalties were due to very sloppy Bulls handling and poor Bulls discipline.
