The box kicks are a concern, but if executed well it is very effective. 

BUT , rugby is all about how to manipulate space. If there is space wide, we must get the ball to the wings, that will force the opposition to not drop their back 3 deep, which opens up the kick option again.

I am happy with our wins , we are building an innings. Our style of play is very well suited to play off rugby, its not pretty, but  its pretty effective..

Dit is nie Faf se skuld dat dit hul taktiek is vir hom om box kicks te moet skop as ons in ons eie helfte is nie. Selfs Jantjies het ten minste 2 geskop in die 20 min of so wat hy op die veld was.

Scrappy game, but well done to the Bokke. They really dominated the Italians physically. We left a few chances out there.

Italy prepared for today's test against the Boks by visiting an air show at the nearby airforce base Hamamatsu. It is to strengthen their neck muscles for all the Faf de Klerk box-kicks they are going to face today.

We last played Italy in November 2017 and beat them 35-6 

6 of the forwards that started in that test will start again on Friday, just Kolisi and Malherbe did not start 2 years ago. What Rassie is forgetting is that Beast and Vermeulen aged another 2 years since then, and Lood was out for most of the last 2 years with injury.

of the 7 backs just Pollard started in that win

And Rassie expects to win the WC with this split? Stormers finished last in the SA conference. Both the Bulls and Sharks finished in the playoffs. So the weakest team in the SA conference gets the best representation? And 3 of the 7 overseas players are also previous Stormers players. One Bulls player spent most his SR career at the Stormers. So that makes 52% of the match day squad is made up of players from the Stormers or with Stormers links.

Wat doen Willie Le Roux so spesiaal dat hy nog daar is sal eerder vir Kolbe op heelagter speel. Bietjie bang vir wat voorle...Japan speel goed en dan is daar dalk nog die Iere wat ook wag in die semi's en verseker sal hulle n punt wil bewys na hulle verloor teen Japan.
