The Emirates Lions resumed training yesterday, 02 November after a short break following a 4-week tour of Italy, Wales, Scotland and Ireland in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship (VURC)

Tiaan Swanepoel and Willem Alberts are both fit to play after long term injuries (fibula and hamstring respectively)

Flyhalf Jordan Hendrikse fractured his ankle against Scarlets in Round 2 of the tournament and is expected to be out of action for up to five months.

Also on the mend is Eddie Fouché, who has a high-grade ankle ligament injury and is recovering well and likely to return by the next round of matches.

Lock Pieter Janse van Vuren injured his MCL against and is expected to be available in mid to late December 2021.

The Emirates Lions next host Cardiff Blues on 28 November 2021 followed by Munster on 04 December in the VURC.
